What this site is
FreeQuantumComputing catalogs and explains every no-cost way to get hands-on with quantum computing today: free local simulators (Qiskit Aer, Cirq, PennyLane, CUDA-Q), free access to real quantum processors (IBM Quantum's Open Plan, IonQ and academic programs), SDK setup guides, a plain-English glossary, research paper explainers, and tutorials. The goal is straightforward. Remove the myth that you need to pay for a quantum computer before you start learning.
Who runs it
The site is built and maintained by Venture Chain LLC, the same team behind HLQuantum, an open-source, cross-backend quantum computing library. We use quantum SDKs and free hardware access ourselves, and this site collects the setup knowledge we wished existed in one place when we started.
How we cover the space
Every SDK, simulator, and hardware program listed here is independently verified against the provider's own documentation and pricing pages, and re-checked as those change. We don't accept payment from hardware or SDK vendors to be listed or ranked, and we say plainly when a "free" tier has limits (shot counts, queue priority, qubit counts) rather than glossing over them. Pages get updated as vendors change their free-tier terms. Guides pegged to a specific year get refreshed annually.
How the site sustains itself
Hosting, research time, and translation work are funded by display advertising (Google AdSense) rather than by charging readers or vendors. See our Privacy Policy for what that means for cookies and data.
