Rigetti Split Delivery From R&D to Scale Deployments

Rigetti created a Systems Delivery organization for manufacturing and customer installs, freeing its technology team to chase 99.5% two-qubit gate fidelity.

Rigetti Computing reorganized its operations on August 20, 2026. The company created a dedicated Systems Delivery organization to run manufacturing, commercial sales, and customer-facing engineering. The Technology organization now focuses only on quantum processor R&D and chiplet design.

What moved where

Systems Delivery handles on-premises installs and field support, from the 9-qubit Novera QPU up to 108-qubit Cepheus-class systems at national laboratories and quantum computing centers. Manufacturing at Fab-1 in Berkeley, California now reports through the delivery arm to streamline assembly and shipping. The Technology group keeps processor architecture, multi-chip interconnects, and cryo-RF work.

The fidelity target

The technology team keeps a stated goal of 99.5% median two-qubit gate fidelity on Cepheus-1-108Q. The processor tiles twelve 9-qubit chiplets using inter-module couplers.
